The table shows miles travelled by seven forms of transportation in Wales in the years 1990 and 2005 in thousands of miles. In addition, the most popular form is cars.
First of all, walking and cycling didn’t rise a lot in this period of time. For walking, it was just three thousand miles, and for cycling three thousand miles. Car miles went up for more than 1.7 million miles, trains has the same percent of cars by nearly 50% increase between those years. The biggest jump in percent for miles is for taxis by more than 300%. The only form that went down is local buses by more than 130 thousand miles. All terms of transportation jumped from 4,740,000 miles in 1990, to 6,475,000 miles total.
As a conclusion, cars are the most popular term of transportation with 4,806,000 miles. Taxi’s have the biggest jump by more than 300%. The lowest jump was by bicycle by only one thousand miles. The only form that dropped is local buses by more than 150 thousand miles.
