Personal reflection

In this course of English 307 at higher colleges of technology I had a lot of fun and benefits of; how could English benefit me at my life and how would I use it daily on a useful manner, with the help of my teacher Mr. Gregory.
On my last three months I learned how to prepare my own C.V. Furthermore, I had the chance to prepare a meeting which I will use in my future career. Thought, the presentation and report I made, gave me an idea on why communication is important on our daily life.
My teacher Mr. Gregory gave me a hand on how to prepare the C.V on a professional way; he also gave me some questions that I would get on an interview, and the best way on how to deal with a presentation and it report.
I had some problems to deal with at this course, especially that when we prepare the presentation we did it without having an idea about the subject that we had. The shortage of time were a big problem and that was because of we wanted some time for our finals on other subjects.
Overall, the English course of 307 gave me an idea on how does my future life would be, and the ways that I will use to deal with it. It was an enjoyable course; having a lot of benefits from inside and a lot of fun from outside.

Meeting report

Bigger campus for ADMC
Referring to the last meeting held on Sunday 23-10-2011 regarding the above mentioned subject, we discussed and suggested possible solutions to expand a bigger and better campus.
We discussed five important points:
• Parking space
We found that HCT needs a bigger space for parking, because of the increasing number of students which will cause a real problem in future.
• Sports complex
We didn’t take any decisions regarding recreation activities and the chairman escalated this problem to the college administration to take approval to build new recreation, because that will cause us a lot of money and we will get feedback next meeting.
• Specialized Classes
With this point we couldn’t take any decisions until doing survey to know if they want a bigger library or not.
• Auditorium
We all agree to build a bigger auditorium so we can organize events and conventions.
• Food court
We suggested building a new food court which is bigger and providing healthy food for students.
• Any other business
Members added creating a box for any suggestions that could be suggested for students.
Overall, the meeting was successful and we are waiting for the management approval over some points to start our plans; an approval from the college management is required for to build new recreation activities by Yousef, survey for bigger library is to be done by Hamad, suggesting new bigger food court providing healthy food by Jaber.
